Bespoke timber outdoor kitchens, individually designed and made for your home, your garden and the way you want to use it.
Every outdoor kitchen starts with the space it has to occupy.
Before we start designing, we consider your home's architecture, the surrounding garden, access, views and how you want to use the space. The kitchen is then developed around those practical considerations, rather than trying to fit a standard range of units.
The result is a kitchen that feels as though it belongs there — in proportion, materials, colour and detail.

Lux Outdoor Kitchens brings together specialist joinery, professional finishing and experienced installation to create genuinely bespoke outdoor kitchens.
We don't work from a standard range of outdoor kitchen modules and try to make them fit.
Every project starts with the space, the architecture of the home and the way you want to use it. From there, we develop the design, select the appropriate materials and manufacture the individual components specifically for the project.
The result is an outdoor kitchen that is designed as part of its surroundings rather than simply placed within them.
An outdoor kitchen has to do more than look good.
It needs to withstand the environment, accommodate the appliances and equipment you actually want to use, provide practical preparation and storage, and still feel like a considered part of the garden.
That's why we approach an outdoor kitchen in much the same way we would approach a high-quality interior kitchen.
Design comes first. Materials are chosen for their application. Construction and finishing are considered from the outset.
And every element has a purpose.
Lux brings together specialist skills across the complete process.
Experienced joiners manufacture the cabinetry and structural elements. Components are professionally prepared and finished using systems selected for exterior applications. The completed kitchen is then installed on site as a single, coordinated project.
This approach gives us control over the details that can make the difference between an outdoor kitchen that simply works and one that feels genuinely special.
There isn't a single Lux style.
A traditional painted Shaker kitchen can work beautifully in one setting, while another may call for contemporary timber, metal, clean architectural lines or a combination of materials.
The design should respond to the house, the garden and the people using it.
That's what makes it bespoke.
If you're considering creating an outdoor kitchen, we'd be happy to talk through your ideas and the possibilities for your space.

An outdoor kitchen should work as a kitchen first. Preparation space, storage, refrigeration, cooking and serving all need to work together, while the cabinetry should sit naturally within its surroundings.
We design the kitchen around the way you cook and entertain, rather than starting with a standard set of modules and fitting appliances around them.

What makes an outdoor kitchen work properly isn't always what you see first.
Refrigeration, storage, waste, gas, preparation space and cooking equipment all need to be considered as part of the design, rather than added afterwards.
We work with your chosen appliances and develop the cabinetry around them, so everything has a proper place, and the finished kitchen remains clean, balanced and practical.

Three specialist disciplines, brought together for one finished kitchen.
Lux brings together experienced joinery, professional finishing and specialist installation to create each outdoor kitchen.
The cabinetry is made specifically for the project, using materials selected for exterior use and for the demands of an outdoor environment. Components are then prepared and professionally finished before they leave the workshop, rather than being built and painted as an afterthought on site.
An experienced fitting team then installs the finished components, with the same attention to detail in the final installation as in the manufacture itself.
The result is a genuinely bespoke outdoor kitchen, made as a complete project rather than assembled from a collection of standard outdoor units.
A considered process from the first conversation to the finished kitchen
Every Lux project begins with a conversation about your space, how you want to use it and what you want the finished kitchen to achieve.
Once we understand the brief, we develop the design around the available space, your preferred style and the appliances you want to incorporate. Where appropriate, we produce detailed drawings and visualisations, so you can see how the finished kitchen will look before manufacture begins.
We don't manufacture from a rough sketch and hope for the best.
Once the design is agreed, we manufacture, professionally finish, and prepare the individual components for installation. Our installation team then assembles the completed kitchen on site.
